The day started with a much needed all you can eat American style breakfast buffet at the hotel, where Mr. Millar demonstrated that size is obviously no indication to appetite. After checking out, we headed over to Mr. Gallagher’s old club, ‘The Oriental Rongotai’ for our first training session with help some of his old team mates Ash Pionton and Steve Cox, unfortunately poor weather conditions forced us to train inside on their artificial grass. In the afternoon there was time for some sightseeing in Wellington before heading over The Rimutaka to Wairapa and our first host’s Rathkeale College. All the squad were paired up and introduced to their billets, where they would stay for the next two nights.
